ABOUT OUR PROJECT

We are Carrying Out Research to Help Improve Young Gypsy, Traveller, Romani, Roma, Showman and Boaters' Digital Experience

You may be wondering what our research is about and what's involved?

The research has been designed to study the digital experiences of young

Gypsy, Traveller, Roma, Romany, Showman and Boater (GTRSB) people and how they

use the digital in everyday life.

We will do this by speaking to young people, organisations who work with

them and analysing diaries young people create about their use of digital

resources.

We will also use a survey later in the project.

If you are GTRSB and aged16 to 24, we'd like your help:

  • Become a member of our youth forum.

  • Be interviewed about how you use your mobile phone, laptop or other digital devices and why. This may be education, finding out information, shopping, accessing services, connecting with family and friends and having fun. Do you use TikTok, Insta, or FaceBook?

  • Help us by creating a verbal diary (audio or video) telling us about your experience of using digital technology everyday for a short period of time.

We will recognise your time and effort with 'Love 2 Shop' vouchers.

We need you to connect with us so we can ask you how involved you'd like to be with our research. Contact us at
grtdigitalyouth1@bcu.ac.uk or call 07795320113 so we can take your details and enter you into our prize draw for four £75 vouchers. We'd love to hear from you at any time.
